Tangent - N Scale - DGHX “Delivery Gray 4-1993” Trinity Industries Inc 4750CuFt Covered Hopper

DGHX “Delivery Gray 4-1993” is one of two private lease offerings in this release of Trinity 4750s, which were leased to North American Chemical.  This car is a stunner with its off-white paint color and distinctive red logo.  The DGHX Trinity 4750s include the Gravac gravity-pneumatic combo outlet gates, a very distinctive prototype design we have tooled in N Scale.  Up on the roof of the cars you will find an unpainted galvanized “slope up” Morton-design running boards and the fiberglass painted trough hatches that Trinity applied are replicated on our model.  The ends of the cars include straight-handle coupler lift bars, separate brake wheel, etch metal Morton crossover platforms, and flexible rubber trainline air hoses!  Underneath the cars, the centersill dividers have access holes in them like they should, in between those gorgeous Gravac outlet gates.  DGHX had a total of 700 Trinity 4750s, all built in 1993.  These stunners are now available, and photos show them on both coasts, in Florida, and all places in between.
