Lionel Legacy S3 set 2731390 - Milwaukee Road LEGACY S3 #267 - Bicentennial

The Milwaukee Road's ultimate Northern, the S3 pulled passenger and freight trains from 1944 to 1954. It's unfortunate that diesels cut their careers short, but thankfully we can still enjoy the sights and sounds of #261 today. Lionel's S3 includes all of the great standard LEGACY features as well as cylinder steam, a kinematic drawbar and emergency stop light. Like the prototype, you have your choice of whistle or horn! After the success of our first Hiawatha fantasy scheme in 2017, we thought we'd expand the offerings in this latest release! In addition to two Hiawatha-inspired liveries, we've added a simple but classy one based on the preceeding S2 class as well as two schemes inspired by later liveries including of course a patriotic version. If you're looking for something a little more standard, no problem! Nos. 261 and 265 will be produced with polished rods and gloss finish, while 263 will have a standard finish and blackened rods.
