In the late 2000s, the TTX Company rebuilt many of its Gunderson 48’ all-purpose well cars by extending the well length in order to accommodate containers up to 53’ in length. Rebuilt cars were repainted and received the new TTX Tuscan red logo. Many 48’ well cars from other owners received a similar rebuilding process.

In addition, the Florida East Coast Railway owns a large fleet of original 53’ all-purpose well cars of similar design, for container or trailer service.

Aurora Miniatures is proud to offer the definitive HO scale version of this well car in multiple ‘original’ and ‘rebuilt’ configurations.
