This HO Scale PRR P70 Coach from Broadway Limited is based on the 1000-plus P70s produced between 1907 and 1929 by a host of builders including the Pennsylvania Railroad's own Altoona shops. They were in service into the 1960s, meaning they'll look perfect behind your K4s and T1 steam locomotives as well as EMD E6, E7, E8, Alco PA, Baldwin Passenger Sharknoses, plus GG1 and other electrics. These 80' all-steel coaches were originally equipped with 88 seats, but in 1926 they were produced with 80 seats standard. The P designation refers to passenger coach. The 70 indicates the overall length of the passenger compartment. In 1933, the PRR began to include ice-air conditioning in the cars. These air conditioned coaches were reclassified as P70R. These PRR models are available with or without air conditioning details. The models feature injection-molded bodies, interiors, applied metal handrails, operating sprung diaphragms and interior lighting.
